Before moving to Boise and joining Rathbone McReynolds & Daly Investment Consulting, she worked for Kampgrounds of America, Inc., where she was the Administrative Assistant for the Sales Department in Billings, Montana. Karena has a degree in advertising design from Western Montana College.

Karena lives in Boise with her husband, Michael, and their son.
